1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CourseBound ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

CourseBound is a web application that allows users to track their online learning progress across multiple platforms. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. CourseBound is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized access to your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account.

4. Free Trial and Paid Plans

CourseBound offers a 7-day free trial with full access (no credit card required) and paid plans ("Pro") with continued access after the trial. By subscribing to a paid plan:

• You authorize us to charge the applicable fees via Stripe.
• Monthly subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
• Lifetime plans provide access to Pro features available at the time of purchase.
• You can cancel your monthly subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.

5. Refund Policy

Monthly subscriptions: You may request a refund within 7 days of your initial purchase if you are unsatisfied with the Service. After 7 days, no refunds will be issued for the current billing period, but you can cancel to prevent future charges. Lifetime purchases: Refund requests are accepted within 14 days of purchase. After 14 days, lifetime purchases are non-refundable. To request a refund, contact us through our contact page.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without permission
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
• Create multiple free accounts to circumvent plan limits

Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your account without notice or refund.

7. Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you input into CourseBound (course names, URLs, progress, notes, etc.). We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your data. You grant us a limited license to store and process your data solely to provide the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any data fetched from third-party platforms (course titles, durations, etc.).

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CourseBound and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your data within 30 days of account termination.

11. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Norway.
